How to Root your HTC One S Using SRSRoot

SRSRoot is a Windows PC program and it is being used for rooting any kind of android devices. With the SRSRoot, rooting any kind of android device is possible for as long as you have internet connection active on the PC, Android drivers installed on the PC, and that you can follow few guides.

Below, I narrate how I rooted my HTC One S (android 4.2.2) using SRSRoot.

Requirment for Rooting HTC One S Using SRSRoot

1- A Windows PC, Laptop or Desktop.
2- HTC Android drivers installed on the PC.
3- A Compatible USB Cable for the HTC One S
4- A reliable power supply or a good power backup on the PC.

Rooting HTC One S Using SRSRoot -Guides

1- Be sure that the battery on your HTC One S is at least, 50% charged.
2- Enable USB Debugging on the HTC One S. Also, disable the fastboot option on the phone.
USB Debugging option: Go to; Menu - Settings - Developer Options and mark USB Debugging.
Fastboot Option: Go to; Menu - Settings - Power and mark/tick off fastboot.
3- Also, remember to enable the Install from Unknown Source Option. This can be done by going to Menu - Settings - Security then, tick/mark NON MARKET APPS.
4- Now, connect your PC to the internet and lunch the SRSRoot program. If the SRSRoot prograam is not already installed on your PC, you may download and install it from here.
5- Connect your phone to the PC and wait few minutes for Windows to install all the drivers then; click either of the options to the left, (Smart Root or All Root Methods).
