What is LG Download Mode?

LG Download Mode is a management partition by design therefore, it becomes a must to enter Download Mode on LG Android devices such as K8 when you need to flash, upgrade, downgrade, tweak and unbrick the LG Android device.
The download mode is necessary because LG service tools such as LGUP, LG Flash Tool, QFIL and other similar tools cannot connect, recognize and communicate with the device when connected to the PC.

Why Enter Download Mode On Optimus L3 II Dual E435?

  1. I have an LG optimus L3 E 435 , It keeps rebooting , probably due to a Russian virus !!! I tried to wipe all data using the codes for android like the *# 2767*3855 # and nothing happened !!! I put it in the download mode then I downloaded all the versions and tried them on it , but once the download and installation is finished it goes back the way it was like if I haven't done a thing !!! when I try to wipe it like using the volume down botton and the power botton and the home botton in the same time .... that green android shows for just one second and the phone reboots again to go back the way it was !!! , I tried the back-up mode as well by pushin the power botton and the volume up botton in the same time , but after all the work it goes back the way it was !!!! it keeps showing me that play store is blocked and google processor is blocked .... than it reboots again and again and again !!!! even those who fix phones couldn't fix it !!! do you have an Idea ????

    1. The issue is mostly related to application memory's configuration and to correct it, boot your device to download mode/bootloader and wipe the cache using command prompt on Windows PC or Terminal on Linux/OSX. See these tutorials: How to Setup and Launch Android ADB On Windows PC and How to Boot Bricked Android Device to Recovery.

    2. Use this command on Terminal/Command Prompt: fastboot erase cache. to erase your applications cache files. -this should be done ONLY after your device has been booted to bootloader mode.
