Sony Xperia Device Drivers Download - All Devices

To flash or perform any development works on your Sony Xperia devices, you need to install device drivers for Sony Xperia devices on the PC. These device drivers helps your PC interract and communicate with your Xperia devices hence; serving as men-in-the-middle between your PC and the Xperia device.
Here, I have managed to contain the download link for all Xperia device drivers which can be downloaded, installed and used straight away.

Alternatively, you may choose to download and install Sony Companion or Sony PC Suite on your PC since all Xperia device drivers comes pre-installed in the suite however, Sony Companion or PC Suite may always interfere in the operations of other Xperia service tools such Xperia Flash Tool and that may lead to an unspeakable damage to your Xperia device.

For Flashing instructions and alternative Sony Xperia device drivers, see here.

    1. Xperia M C2004 specific driver has not been uploaded yet but you may download any of the drivers above and install it on your PC. It should work regardless. Add your comment if you are having any issues specifically.

  3. Do you perhaps know why my Arc S Lt18i would not be recognized by Xperia Companion running on Win 7 PC ?

    Thank You

    1. There are tens of reasons for that. It could be defected USB port, software issue or a bricked device. You'll have to explain what happens, your device current state... so that I may tell you exactly what the problem is with the device.

    2. Thank You for responding Aryk. You must be a very kind Soul to give me some of your valuebale time :-)

I realize that trying to help from a distance with little info is next to impossible.
      OK, the knowns:
      1) Phone works fine and is seen by EXPLORER when in MPT mode.
      2) All drives on my PC have been updated as of yesterday. There might be some setting in the Win 7 OS setup that might the issue.
      3) In searching the web I have seen "MTP USB Device" showing up in "Device Manager" under "Portable Devices". I do not see such a message, when I plug in the phone I see "Xperia Arc S" with "This device is working properly." when requesting “Properties”.
      4) The phone OS is what was on the phone from the start (new phone) and shows version number as 2.3.4. I assume Gingerbread but that is just my guess.
      5) I use “Wondershare\MobileGo” to manage the phone. When trying to get WHATSAPP installed it couldn't do it. However MobileGo gave no reason why it failed, just a message “Error”. When that happened I reached for “Xperia Companion” BUT it doesn't see the phone. My conclusion is “I need to update the OS”
      6) So I am basically stuck here. I am above average user of computers but a complete nubbie to Android devices :-)
      7) The ONLY reason I am going through this process is that I am trying to get the app WHATSAPP. Nothing else. My phone is for calls and SMS-ing. If I learn more perhaps this will expand.
      Regards
      Henry

    3. Aryk, one more comment. I have noticed from SONY forum that with this issue even they don't seem to be able to pin down. My guess is that the phone is "old stuff" for them and not a high priority to dig deeper.

    4. Thank you for the response and below here I have your solutions:
      1. Ensure that USB Debugging is Enabled on the device. Go here to Enable USB Debugging on the Android Device

      2. Make sure that you have compatible Android USB Debugging drivers installed on the PC. You can use PDanet+. PDanet is a universal usb drivers for Android devices.

Once that's done, Sony Companion should be able to identify your device.

If you have further questions, do not hesitate to ask.

  4. I installed PDanet+ on my PC. It was complaining about the fact that I have ADB running on my machine (from this article - https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48915118#post48915118) and after stopping the process it ran OK. However it is asking me to install PDanet+ which I don't think I need to.

Next I went to Xperia Companion and ran it. Ooops, but it does not see my phone.

In CHROME with "chrome://inspect/#devices" I see my phone. PDanet+ sees my phone. ADB sees my phone. Buuuuttttt Xperia Companion is a piece of Junk and DOES NOT SEE it. I think it is time to give up and upgrade OS on the phone in a different way My Friend :-)

    What do you think ?

    1. Yes. You may proceed to upgrading the phone however, you may have to proceed with caution as upgrading such devices can only be done using custom ROM(custom OS) and that's a process that can only safely be done by a savvy android user.
      Thank you.

    2. Thank You for the advice. I just purchased a used LT18i ($50) and will use it to learn more about Android phones.

Do you have any advice where to look for step-by-step procedure for nubbies?

      I saw this,

and hope to try out on the phone when it arrives. I need to make sure at least one is operational :-)

Cheers and Thank You Again !!!!
